Liz was exhausted by the time Fin came in. He'd been late for class for the third time this week and she would be lying if she said hat she hadn't missed him at all. Fin was the only thing that made coming for these classes worthwhile and to have him disappear on her like that made her feel bad. She knew he was planning something though he would never have admitted it if she happened to ask him. But she knew him better. He acted suspicious with his boyish smiles and jokes that seemed to hint at something she never got.

He caught her eye as he made his way to the empty seat next to her. Not many people would dare sit there when they didn't even like her. Besides, she was the oldest in the class besides Fin. So she didn't feel she needed to be reminded that by having some young woman ten years her junior babbling in her ear about some cool new artist.

Fin was the same age with her and that made class a little bit bearable. Besides age, they had a lot in common and would talk for hours even with the teachers in class about nothing in particular. It annoyed them but they would never say it to their faces as if afraid that they would upset the old people. It could be annoying but she had learned to deal with it. She watched him as he sat and he threw her a sly wink already getting into class mode as they would usually call it. Liz decided that she would need to talk to him later about how he had been acting suspicious. That would probably have to be when he was tutoring her after class.
