John lay on his bed anxiously waiting for Anna to show up. He knew that she would always come around at a time like this every day and he could not wait to see her. He was tired from work and he desperately needed someone to talk to. Someone who wouldn't act like he was the center of their world only for them to get more of his money. Though Anna acted like he was the center of her universe, he was damn sure that it was not about the money. It could never be about the money. Not when he had hidden that part of his life from her. He got up and quickly pulled off his tie. He would have to change before she came in or run the risk of having to explain the expensive custom-made suit. He walked over to his closet and picked the uniform he'd been wearing for the past three months. He'd pulled some strings and had managed to get a few more than he initially had. He pulled his uniform on. It was a baggy white button-down shirt and another baggy pair of pants. He hated it and it made him feel itchy but it was a small price to pay to spend time with her. He went back to bed and lay down on his back. This was where she would find him when she came in. It was always like this between them.

He felt guilty for having to pretend with her, but he was just sick and tired of people treating him differently. So what if his mother happened to be the most powerful and richest woman in the country? Did it even matter that he was her only child and so would inherit all that fortune one day? He wanted to be normal and she made hi fell that way every day they were together whether she knew it or not.
