The party was on. Amanda had called it and there was a thrill within her bones that made her smile all the way. This was because while she called the party, only she knew what exactly she wanted to achieve with the party. She felt like an evil witch ready to poison everyone, or enslave everyone who would eat her food. But she was no evil witch. There was no poison in her house and there was no enslavement in her plans for tonight.

All this was for one person, a person she was not supposed to be seeing. But there were things she could not control herself with, there were desires she could not stay away from. One of them was this man called Jack.

The first guests started arriving at around eight and Amanda ushered them in. They did not know much about her and she did not know much about them. But they knew her husband. After all, her husband was their boss, and he worked with them. They exchanged pleasantries and Amanda asked them to get comfortable as she went to get the rest of the guests.

This was going to be a busy hour. The catering service she had hired had just set their shop up and they were ready to serve food as soon as everyone was settled. There were drinks around, but none of it was hard. Amanda had decided that she was not going to allow people to get drunk in her party.
