It wasn’t until Jake finally settled down with Keisha that Jake’s dream came true. Keisha was a beautiful girl. She was five foot four inches tall, with a curvy frame, light skin and an infectious laughter. She was what any man would have wanted. But she was not what Jake wanted. Sure, she was beautiful, and he was proud to have her. As a matter of fact, he knew that if he put his mind to it, he would end up falling in love with her.

But still, she was not the woman he wanted. The woman he wanted was taller, leaner… she might not have been as beautiful as Keisha was, but she was the one person who knew how Jake’s inner demons worked. Her name was Hailey, and it so happened that Hailey was married.

Hailey had been Jake’s dream girl ever since he was in college. He was probably the first guy to ever see her in college. They rode the same cab to school that morning and Jake fell instantly in love. It had not been an easy ride. They had been stuck in traffic for about two hours and throughout the two hours; Jake had not said a thing. He had been too scared to say anything.

All he kept thinking was that he was deeply in love with the young woman who came in wearing glasses. He did not even look at her until they were exiting the cab. He, at least, paid for the fare and awkwardly wished her a good day before she walked away. Never before had Jake felt anything like that. It was like being shot right in the heart with a cocktail of everything nice.
