"You want me to do what?" Nate asked a bit too loudly.

All heads turned in his direction at his outburst. They had never quite gotten used to how he could talk to the boss anyway he wanted without fear of losing his job. He could tell from their eyes that they all felt sorry for him. Even Liam who was always trying to jump at every task given to Nate didn't seem to eager to do the same today.

"I thought you'd heard me the first time being as smart as you are," Peter said absently. Out of all the people in the conference room, he was the only one who didn't seem to get that the news had upset him. It was just like Peter to be clueless even when faced with something as obvious as this one.

"I told you I need an inside man to work among them, so I get a feel of what they're thinking down there and what improvements we could make to their lives, so they earn me better money. I would have done it myself but they all know me, so I won't get the same results you would if you did it for me. You're my most trusted man Nate," Peter said.

"Do you really think this would help at all sir?" he asked. It still bothered him how he had to call him sir in everyone's presence. Peter nodded his head briefly in response to his question. If there was anything that Nate knew, it was that Peter could always be counted on to make the best decisions for the hotel. If he thought this was going to work, then he had to trust him on it as much as he didn’t want to then.
