I looked at the presentation for the millionth time that morning before rubbing my eyes from my restless sleep. I had to defend a proposal I had made at work and was all nerves. I had barely slept the night before going through the piece over and over again. I was seated in my office that morning combing through what I had and hoping I had everything needed for the presentation. I was the only one in the office at that time and I looked at my computer screen one more time before deciding to head on to the common room.

I'd done presentations like this one more than once and every time, I killed it. However, I had never quite gotten used to the pressure that came with the preparation. No matter how hard I worked at my proposal and how much I knew I had done well, I could never sit still and relax while I waited for my time. A lot of people had gotten fired for bad proposal and I had promised myself a long time ago that I was not going to be one of them.

I needed a cup of coffee to brighten up my morning and to alert my senses. The common room was at the far end of the long hallway in the office and I walked slowly thinking about the work I still needed to finish. I poured myself a steaming mug to relax myself. Unfortunately for me, I bumped into Clyde on my way out almost making a huge mess.
